Countdown to Frankie's Fourth Birthday: 8 days
Finally, I have stumbled upon proof that my genes did indeed play a role in this child's conception and she did not actually emerge fully formed from her father's head like Athena from Zeus. The kid loves to read. LOVES to read. That is MY GIRL, people.

I like that sylvie is in one picture-- thus giving the illusion that she, too, is literarily-inclined (not a word, but should be).
Only one of my daughters ended up a reader. The other two tried, since their sister and I enjoyed it so much, but they just couldn't get into it the same way.
What an enourmous blessing the love of reading is to give a child!

Actually, these photos just prove kith and kin like to read.
