Frankie, from the other room: "Mom, was that thing you had old?"

Me: "Pardon?"

Frankie: "That thing you were wearing, Mommy, was it old?"

Me: "What thing?"

Frankie: "That necklace (sob) you wore to church (sobbing)?"

Me: "What happened to it, baby?"

Frankie: "I (hicccup) don't (hiccup) know (hiccup) where (hiccup) it (hiccup) went (heavy sobbing)."

Me: "It just fell through the crack in the chair on the floor, sweetie, it's right here."

Frankie: "Okay, Mommy (collapses sobbing), okay (hiccup). I'll be okay."
