Frankie really enjoys reading books aloud to herself, and tries her best to faithfully reproduce the plot. She is anxious to read, but so far can only sound out the first letter of words. So, she relies on the pictures for cues. Yesterday, she opened a book about the Christmas story and "read":
"An angel appeared and he talked to Mary. He told Mary, Don't be afraid, I have some wonderful news for you! Mary was going to have a little lamb, whose fleece was white as snow!"
