Irrationality

I am in love with a bald, twelve pound creature who interrupts my sleep and routinely throws up down my shirt and hers. She regularly indulges in the indignities she has visited upon my family room carpet. She's got cradle cap on her head and in her eyebrows. Her neck folds are feeding grounds for fungi. Her tiny hands, fisted so tightly, waft an offensive sweaty foot odor whenever she unclenches long enough to wave them past my face. She roars with fury over diaper changes.

But I cannot get enough of her. I cannot seem to soak up her blue eyes and her rounded, taut tummy and her delicious creamy cheeks. I can't get my fill of her tiny body curved around me, head resting in my neck. I crave her when she's gone from me. I long for her in the middle of the night if she's sleeping too long.

I adore her.

O.M.G.

Please let me have her, too. Please.

Susannah Glory and Abigail Hannah are like movie star gorgeous. And even sweeter than they are beautiful.

What did we ever do to deserve them? (Clearly nothing on my part, I can guarantee that.)

The grace of God showered upon us. We love you, Jesus. Xoxoxoxo

Sask, look at the top pic of Susannah on this entry and compare it with Molly in the pic you have of F & M just to the right (under Kenziera girls)...

Susannah and Molly look like they are eachother's reflections in a mirror. Unbelievable.

You're right, Sarah! The resemblance between those two pictures is startling. That's weird because lately I think she looks a little more like Frankie. But now you've got me all confused.
And indeed, God has showered us with undeserved blessing.

oh how I LOVE her little face!

I see Frankie in S, too! Look at that same pic of S and compare it to Frankie's nose, lips, and chin in that same pic of F & M. Wild.

I can see how S could go back and forth btwn looking like each sister. I guess what will tip the scale is how her hair turns out.

Oh, Sask, all of your precious munchkins are so amazing! And you & Sarah are making me so impatient for our new little one to get here with the photos and wonderful descriptions of Susannah & Abigail!! :) I've re-read (and giggled at) Susannah's birth story so often lately - I had Jane at 38 weeks, and I'm 2 days past that now so I'm getting REALLY anxious to join you in lovely gushing about beautiful babies!! :)

Heather,
At least someone was giggling about that birth story, cause it sure WASN'T ME!!!!! Hope you get a nice epidural and it comes tomorrow! Can't wait to hear.
And as far as comparing babies go, I am going to go out on a limb and say yours will have a thick head of hair...

Why are you so in love with an incontinent stranger who speaks no English?

Oh Heather, you are going to be the lucky one soon. There is nothing in the world like a newborn as far as I'm concerned. I was just lamenting to saskia and my husband about not having a 5-8 pounder anymore. Holding a newborn is like holding a warm bag of rocks.

I so hope u get your baby early - like today...and then we will be looking longingly at your tiny precious newborn's pictures while we hold our 12-14 pounders.
